The Neighborhood

Mission Bay lies just across Mission Creek from the San Francisco Giants baseball stadium, with its lively foot traffic, clubs, and cafes. Formerly a salt marsh and lagoon, this redeveloped neighborhood has blossomed into a lively mixed commercial area filled with biotech companies, hospitals, and high-rise luxury condominiums. As a gentle reminder of the area’s past, more than 20 colorfully painted houseboats are moored in Mission Creek.
 

What To Expect

With good access to public transportation and entertainment, Mission Bay appeals to both singles and empty-nesters. It’s easy to commute anywhere from Mission Bay. Residents can arrive at jobs downtown by bicycling walking along the waterfront, or taking Muni.

Mission Bay’s close proximity to the waterfront offers easy access to the outdoors. Residents can walk, run, or bicycle along the bay all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge.
